LD was brought on to publicise the Family Lobby and raise public awareness on this crucial issue. LD issued an announcement and worked closely with the Parents For Future team to organise a photo call with attending families outside the Houses of Parliament before the event took place, organising in-house and agency photographers to capture the moment, ensuring strong visuals were available for the media.
Using existing connections, LD secured the backing of a well-known TV presenter and parent who shared a quote for us to use in the press release, adding weight and media appeal to the campaign.
The Family Lobby was further bolstered by the support of Green Party Co-Leader Carla Denyer, who not only sponsored the event in Parliament but also took the time to meet with families and hear their concerns. LD managed the media strategy, facilitating engagement between Parents For Future and MPs to ensure the day ran smoothly.
By leveraging our strong network in climate and sustainability media, we secured an outstanding 160 pieces of coverage, including features in the Daily Mail, Independent, The London Standard, and various sustainability titles, reaching an audience of nearly 19 million.
Earned media coverage for peaceful lobbying remains underrepresented, and at LD, we are committed to changing that.
